ROLES:

Chelsea – f – 35, any ethnicity. James’s therapist. An artist. She is a kind woman, but one that doesn’t really pull her punches with her patients. She is honest with them. It’s why she’s good.

Robin – f – 25, any ethnicity. James’s sort-of girlfriend. She genuinely likes him, but isn’t interested in wasting time and doesn’t like it when people aren’t honest and open with her. A physical therapist and coffee drinker.

Michael – m – 26, any ethnicity. James’s friend from college. An all-around good guy. Hard-nosed, honest, but kind. The kind of friend that you reconnect with and don’t miss a beat.

Mia – f – 23, any ethnicity. Robin’s roommate. Funny in a very sarcastic way. Her favorite movie is Grease and she’s a mental health blogger. To her, life is meant to be fun. That’s why it matters.

Chad – m – mid 30s, any ethnicity. A former frat boy. Still parties like a current frat boy. James’s coworker that never works. Intentionally antagonistic. You don’t like him. Neither do we.

Bianca – f – 30-40, any ethnicity. A kind and responsible coworker of Chad’s and James’s. She tries to keep the office running, despite Chad’s best efforts. A careful observer.

Jim – m – 50s, any ethnicity, James’s father. A tired, angry man. He is in prison, and James tries to forget he exists… but James still sees him.

Matthews – m – 50s, any ethnicity. James’s boss at work. A kind but firm CEO. Wants to do the best for his employees, but sometimes misses the signs.

Pastor Greene – m/f – 40s-60s, any ethnicity. The pastor at Michael’s church. A “new-age” pastor, one with a reformed and inclusive view of love and justice.
