Synopsis: Having just inherited the family home, a college student returns to his city for the first time in years only to have to pack up and say goodbye.

Deep, thoughtful, and genuine; Michael is a Philly-native studying for his law degree out of state. He is someone full of love and laughter that everyone loves to be around. He’s comforting and calm, yet firm. He was considered the lucky one out of his friends to not only grow up with his parents together, but to also have his grandmother and uncle live with him; His childhood means everything to him. However, Michael’s easy-going nature has become increasingly cynical after the loss of his mother, father, and grandmother all by the age of 21. He is still caring, but overburdened with tragedy and loss. And now, after having just buried his uncle several years later, Michael shortly realizes he must also sell the only thing he has left: the family home he just inherited.

Michael being an only child, Marquis is the brother he never had. They are childhood best friends who grew up together. He is the loud, charming center of attention that can make anyone laugh; He is extremely street smart blessed with the gift of gab. Marquis is a straight shooter with a strong exterior. He grew up in harsher conditions than Michael and is tougher for it. He is reliable and a hard-worker; someone who takes his word seriously. He is self-educated and weirdly knowledgeable about almost everything.

Mrs. Lisa has lived on Michael’s street for 60 years in the house next to his. She is a tough old lady who takes nothing from no one. If it needs to be said she’ll say it, and if it needs to be done she’ll do it. Age is the last thing she will let stop her. She is a fighter through and through. Despite her stern nature, Mrs Lisa is one of the warmest people you could meet. Although she has had no children of her own, Lisa has been the neighborhood mom for years. Mothers would faithfully depend on her to watch their kids. She is the village that helped raise the kids, and is easily a grandmother-figure to Michael. Mrs. Lisa is also being threatened with the changing economic climate, but refuses to be forced out of her home and sell.
