Greater Philadelphia Film Office
CarSmarts Radio has been on the air in Philadelphia since November 2018. The show airs on 610ESPN and WOND in Atlantic City; we broadcast live on Saturdays from 11am – 12pm. It is primarily an interview show with complementary social media support. During car show season (april – early november) we set up an information booth at various car shows. The co-host would be needed at some of these events.
The ideal candidate would be:
Female
18-35 years old
Outgoing, communicative and physically fit
Able to conduct interviews and engage with guests (improv skill is key)
Have an interest in cars (knowledge is a plus, but not as important as the ability to simply engage)
Available most weekends during car show season; occasional weeknight
Comfortable on-camera, personable, extroverted
Local to the Philadelphia area and able to travel regionally (Carlisle, Morgantown, New Jersey, etc.)
This is an opportunity to gain experience on the radio in a large market (Philadelphia) and on an ESPN affiliate. The show is also being pitched around the region and in other parts of the country. Social media including YouTube will increase as our listenership grows. While there is no pay now (even the producer does not get paid!), there may be potential in the future. Meals and travel needed for outreach events would be paid for.
For an example of what we envision, see the role Colin Cowherd’s co-host plays (minus interviews). The main host would be the lead and the co-host would embellish the show with additional questions and role in social media.
Please send letter of interest, resume, and photo to: Artwood Enterprises, P.O. box 44, Gwynedd Valley, PA 19437. We will interview individually and/or conduct auditions at the radio station. No phone calls please.
