…The Group Chats is a comedy/drama web series about two friend groups (5 navigating modern Life and relationships through texting and social culture. Think Emily in Paris meets Abbott Elementary – but set in BEAUTIFUL Philadelphia.

Shoots: 1-2 days/month week day varies depending on combined schedule (weekends)???? Volunteer/Unpaid (with revenue share + equity when monetized)

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

SOUND ENGINEER/AUDIO TECH
∙ Capture clean dialogue on set
∙ Wireless lavs or phone-compatible audio gear
∙ Monitor levels, deliver clean files
∙ Commitment: 1-2 shoot days/month ( depending on combined scheduling )

WARDROBE STYLIST ????
∙ Style 10 distinct characters (comfortable + trendy + different)
∙ Source outfits (thrifting, borrowing, actors’ clothes)
∙ Manage wardrobe continuity
∙ Ensure clothes look good on phone camera ∙ Commitment: 1-2 shoot days/month + prep time

Character Styles:
∙ Women: Chic/trendy, feminine/fun, creative/alternative, bold/colorful, soft/romantic
∙ Men: Athletic/trainer, stylish/confident, preppy/sales guy, nerdy-cool, gamer aesthetic

MAKEUP ARTIST (MUA)
∙ Natural, glowy, camera-ready makeup for all cast
∙ Work with diverse skin tones
∙ Touch-ups throughout shoot day
∙ Must understand phone camera makeup (different from traditional film!)
∙ Bring: Your own kit
∙ Commitment: 1-2 shoot days/month Depending on combined schedules

HAIR STYLIST
∙ Style hair for all cast members
∙ Work with diverse hair textures (straight, curly, coily, locs, braids, etc.)
∙ Maintain continuity
∙ Natural, effortless looks
∙ Bring: Basic tools (blow dryer, flat iron, products)
∙ Commitment: 1-2 shoot days depending on combined schedules /month

NAIL TECHNICIAN
∙ Manicures for cast before shoots
∙ Clean, polished, camera-ready nails
∙ Coordinate with character aesthetics
∙ Hands are VERY visible in texting scenes!
∙ Commitment: Flexible (can be day before or morning of shoot) Depending on combined schedules

PRODUCTION ASSISTANTS (PAs)
∙ Set setup/breakdown
∙ Props & wardrobe management
∙ Hold reflectors/lighting

∙ General on-set support
∙ No experience required – just reliable + enthusiastic!

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
∙ Manage IG, TikTok, YouTube accounts
∙ Write captions, post strategy
∙ Track analytics, respond to comments
∙ Create BTS content
∙ Must know: Vertical video best practices, platform algorithms
∙ Commitment: Remote, 10-15 hrs/month

PRODUCTION INTERN
∙ Shadow production team
∙ Learn mobile filmmaking + vertical video

PERSONAL ASSISTANT (to Creator/Director/actor)

∙ Review cuts, provide notes
∙ Must know: Comedy writing, social media trends, vertical video storytelling

Q: Is this really unpaid?A: Yes, initially. We’re pursuing sponsors, grants, investors. Early team gets equity + revenue share. When funded, you get paid FIRST.

Q: Why on social ?A: It’s the native format for our platforms. Authentic, fast, optimized for where people actually watch.

Q: What’s the time commitment?A: Most positions: 1-2 shoot days/month (4-6 hours). Remote positions are flexible.

Q: I have no experience. Can I apply?A: YES! We have PA and intern positions. Bring good energy + strong work ethic. We need all the help we can get!

Q: Will I really get fed?A: YES. Every shoot day includes meals/snacks.
