Job Description: I’m hosting a developmental table read for my short film ECHOES on Saturday, August 30th in Philadelphia, PA. It’s Coco meets The Family Man meets Soul Food. The table read will be in person.

I’m looking for 5 more actors + 1 reader to help bring the script to life. This is strictly a workshop the goal is to hear the script out loud and get creative feedback from dope actors.

For clarity:
This is a script development workshop, not an official audition or casting call. If you’re interested, shoot me a reel, and I’ll get back to you. An NDA will be required at the reading.

Echoes:
On Christmas Eve, Travis Upshaw, isolated and consumed by grief, wakes up in a house filled with the spirits of his deceased family.

Characters:
1. Travis Upshaw (30s, Black) Quiet, emotionally withdrawn, and carrying deep grief. Still mourning the loss of his sister and family. Dry, introspective, but deeply human.
2. Melody Upshaw (50s, Black) Their mother. Strong, warm, and grounded. Carries old-school wisdom with a big heart.
3. Uncle John (50s, Black) Loud, hilarious, and full of love. The kind of uncle who’ll trash talk at spades but drop real advice when you need it.
4. Aunt Diahann (50s, Black) Quick-witted and bold. She’s playful, protective, and no-nonsense.
5. Lisa (20s, Black) Travis’s cousin. Book smart, future lawyer. Proud, chaotic, and lovable.
