Short Film Casting Call in Philadelphia, PA
NON-PAID, NON-UNION ROLES
A great opportunity to hone in on your acting craft in this upcoming short film. Filming in late May and early June 2025 in Philadelphia, PA.
Short Film: A young man stands at a crossroads after finding out about the deception of a friend, and a life-altering encounter with gun violence, forcing him to confront his past choices, and decide if he will break the cycle or continue down a path of destruction.
Casting Call:
2-3 day filming will be scheduled based on availability in Philadelphia, PA. All cast or extras do not have to be present for all days, only the day of your scene. All roles volunteer, and are for Non-Union Actors
Lead Male – African American/Black – Male can look like age 16 -23
Mother – African American/Black – Female can look like age 45-60
Father – African American/Black – Male can look like age 45-60
Girlfriend of Lead Male – African American/Black – Female can play age 16-23
Supporting Male #1 – African-American/Black, White, or Hispanic – Male can play age 30-55
Supporting Male #2 – African-American/Black- Male can play age 15-23
Supporting Male #3 – African-American/Black – Male can play age 15-23
Supporting Male #4 – African-American/Black – Male can play age 15-23
Supporting Female #1 – African-American/Black or Hispanic – Female can play age 15-23
Supporting Female #2 – African-American/Black or Hispanic – Female can play age 15-23
Supporting Female #3 – African-American Female or White Female – Female can play age 30-60
Extras: 15-20 people – Concert Goers (all speaking roles – two lines) can play ages 15-25 – any ethnicity and Meeting Attendees can play ages 15-70 – any ethnicity
All roles are non-paid, non-union. Please come out to audition for a role. No acting experience is required, but preferred. Come ready with your headshot photo, resume, and 1-2 minutes of your own monologue at the audition. In person auditions only. Auditions at the Martin Luther King Recreation Center, 2101 Cecil B. Moore Avenue, Philadelphia, PA on Thursday, March 20, 2025 5:30pm-7pm.
