Synopsis: An artist in a creative block tries to break through it when in the midst of the creative process, they discover a mystery that only they seem to be able to see.

Characters:

Main Character: Currently name Mae, can be any gender and race. Age range mid 20’s to mid 40’s. Mae is an artist and photographer. Experience with film photography would be a bonus, but not necessary. The emotions of this character are somber, frustrated, confused, startled and curious.

Doppelganger: This may be the tricky part. The main character has a doppelganger in the neighborhood. When casting these two roles, this will play into the consideration. The emotions of this character are aloof, playful and mysterious.

Friend: Currently name Jone, can be any gender and race. Age range mid 20’s to mid 40’s. Jone is a close-ish friend. While not a best friend, someone who knows the main character well enough to know Mae’s work as an artist. While Jone means well, they have a bit more of a party vibe. A ‘don’t worry about it, it’ll all work out’ mentality. The emotions of this character are excitable, extroverted, a good friend who sometimes can’t read the room, and flirty.

Background: We will need a bartender and a handful of patrons. This can be anyone over the age of 21. Two patrons in particular have a moment flirting with Jone and Mae. While only one scene needs background, to give people more camera time, we would also use you for exterior scenes through South Philadelphia, where Mae is taking pictures. This would require a couple outfits changes. A secure and safe holding location will be available. This is if people want more screen time, however, if you want to do just the bar scene, that is a-ok.
