| Job Description: | Catalyst Scientific Discoveries is a new YouTube channel focused on translating real, peer-reviewed scientific research into engaging, accessible, story-driven video content. The goal is to spotlight the science itself while keeping the tone approachable, confident, and human.
We are currently seeking an on-screen narrator/actor (male or female) to serve as the primary voice and face of the channel. Role Overview This role is performance-driven rather than character-driven. The ideal delivery is clear, confident, conversational, and engaging—serious when needed, but never dry or overly academic. Production Schedule -Initial cadence: one video every two weeks -Each video will require a recorded on-camera script at that frequency -Long-term goal: transition to weekly videos once workflows are established -Preference given to candidates interested in a long-term collaboration as the channel scales Technical Requirements: -Candidates preferably already have: —–A camera (DSLR, mirrorless, or comparable quality) —–A reliable audio setup (USB or XLR microphone) -A green screen can be provided at no cost if needed -If you do not currently have a full setup, we are open to discussing solutions and working with you to make the role feasible Compensation Structure: -This is currently a deferred-payment position ———To start, compensation will be provided as a stipend in the form of a percentage of each video’s YouTube earnings -As the channel grows, compensation structure is expected to evolve accordingly Who This Is Best For: -On-camera narrators, actors, or content creators comfortable delivering scripted material on camera -New actors interested in increasing and bolstering their ever growing portfolio with high quality content on a fast growing channel -Individuals interested in science, education, or long-form storytelling (formal scientific background not required) -Creators looking to grow alongside a new channel rather than a one-off gig How to Apply Contact: We look forward to hearing from you. |
