Oscar (Lead) (20s):
Oscar appears as a mild-mannered young adult, relatively unassuming, a little nerdy-looking. Most of his emotions come out when he’s able to express himself in the form of sock puppets. He relies on sock puppets so much that it’s become a concern for his friends and loved ones. (Any performer with puppeteering experience would stand out to us).
Meryl (50s):
Meryl is a trained intervention mediator who is very experienced in keeping everyone calm and diplomatic under unusual conditions. She is sweet and gentle like a kind mother.
Eric (20s):
Eric is quite fed up with Oscar’s sock puppet shenanigans. He’s not typically one to express himself in the form of an organized intervention, especially when it comes to a matter as strange as sock puppet addiction. But he is willing to go along with it for the sake of putting an end to this annoying habit.
Issac (20s):
Issac is a good friend who thinks about others a lot. He doesn’t necessarily want to put an end to something that brings his friend joy, but he recognizes that Oscar’s sock puppet obsession has become a problem that needs to be dealt with.
James (20s):
James is a character who sees a sock puppet intervention for exactly as ridiculous as it is. He doesn’t really care about helping Oscar, at least when it comes to something like this. It confuses him why people are going along with such a thing, and he finds it odd that no one else seems to recognize how stupid the situation really is.
