Job Description: | CASTING CALL
We’re casting for a series of upcoming films. These projects are a great opportunity for new and emerging actors to gain on-set experience, build their reels, and connect with the next generation of filmmakers. Many of our past student films have gone on to screen at film festivals, pick up awards, and provide strong exposure for fresh talent. What you’ll get: We’re looking for dedicated actors and actresses of all backgrounds who are excited to collaborate, perform, and help bring these student projects to life. If you’re looking to grow your resume, expand your reel, or simply get more experience in front of the camera, this is a solid chance to do just that while working with a team of motivated filmmakers. Available Roles: Alex: (Lead) (Male: 18 – 25 years) Ethnicity does not matter – young adult, disheveled in appearance and attitude, artistic and imaginative but never made quite enough of himself. Animated, almost slapstick comedy – no dialogue. Officer Leddick: (Main Antagonist) (Male: 35 – 45 years) Ethnicity: Doesn’t matter, a cop who has a high well known reputation for being a corrupt cop. Arrogant, selfish, heartless, feels he’s above the law.Brad: (Lead – Male: 20 – 25 years) Ethnicity any, Easy going, Jockish, Wants to impress his date Jill. Jill: (Lead Female: 20 – 25 years) Ethnicity any, Prepey, Reserved, wants her and Brad’s friendship to go to the next level. The Waiter: (Supporting Male): 30 – 40 years) Ethnicity any, Dutiful, Helpful, the unfortunate Waiter who serves Brad and Jill’s disastrous date. Phillip: (Lead, Male, 70’s) A father living alone. He wants to give his son a happy birthday celebration, but his struggle with dementia and resulting impatience gets in the way. Miles: (Antagonist, Male, 20’s) Phillip’s grandson, 20’s. He wants to help Phillip, but he is weary after dealing with his grandfather’s condition. He thinks he has already lost him, and he fears he may end up like him. Arnold: (Supporting, Male, 40’s) Phillip’s son, 40’s. He wants to make sure Phillip is taken care of – whether it’s in a home or in the apartment.
