| Job Description: | We are casting three roles for The Bracelet Maker, an independent short film shooting for one day in mid-August 2025 on the Wildwood, NJ boardwalk. This is an unpaid project, but meals, snacks, and refreshments will be provided on set. Roles Needed: – COP – A middle-aged male (40s–50s), stern and intimidating. He is an undercover officer with a no-nonsense attitude and a hidden agenda. Strong presence and ability to portray authority is key. – MOM – An older woman (60s+), frail and gentle with a heart of gold. Her character is battling cancer and shares emotional scenes with her son, the film’s main character. – NURSE – A young adult woman (20s–30s), quiet, calm, and compassionate. She plays a caretaker role and shares subtle, emotional moments. This film is a character-driven drama with emotional depth. We’re seeking actors who can bring real vulnerability and nuance to their performances. The Bracelet Maker is a 6–9 minute short that follows a young boy hustling to make and sell bracelets on the boardwalk in order to support his ailing mother. The film will be shot in a stylized, campy, and visually engaging way—blending raw emotion with a distinctive aesthetic. This is a great opportunity for actors looking to build their portfolio with heartfelt material and a creative, unconventional project. |
