Position Overview:
The Audio Production Intern will assist with on-set sound recording and help ensure clean, clear dialogue throughout production. The intern will work closely with the director and production team during filming.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with wiring actors with lavalier microphones
• Help operate boom microphones when needed
• Monitor audio levels during filming
• Assist with setup and breakdown of audio equipment
• Help reduce background noise and identify sound issues on set
• Organize and maintain audio gear during production
• Work collaboratively with the camera and production team
Qualifications:
• Interest in film sound, audio engineering, media production, or filmmaking
• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred
• Familiarity with microphones, boom poles, wireless audio systems, or field recorders
• Experience with film sets, student productions, podcasts, or live sound
• Basic understanding of clean dialogue recording |
