The title is a bit of a misdirect – we are keeping certain details about this film under wraps. But we are casting for various roles! Details for each role are below, as well as general notices and details about the film as a whole.

ROLES FOR UNTITLED SUPERHERO FILM

SUPERHERO (STEPHEN) – 20-23 – MALE
Medium height, brown/black medium-length hair (may/may not be styled). Slight muscular definition is a plus, but not necessary. Lean build is ideal to fit a custom suit (will take fittings upon casting).
Stephen is a headstrong high school dropout who decides one day that he will be a superhero, societal rules be damned. He makes his own suit, and will let nothing get in his way. He just needs a name…
This character will be utilized in several potential projects, ranging from short film to social media content creation. Talent MUST be willing to explore several creative avenues. We will talk about this in detail upon casting! Should have decent availability but we will work around schedules as well. Looking for someone who brings an energetic performance and can embody that Peter Parker/Mark Grayson vibe, but bring something new to the table too! Should be comfortable talking to the camera and filming content independently as well (with guidance).

JAMES – 20-25 – MALE
Medium height (for camera matching with Stephen), longer hair (flexible). Wears a beanie and a skater fit.
James is a laid-back high school dropout. He has a burnout vibe, with not much going on upstairs. He’s goofy, fun to be around, and always down to kick it and talk comics.
James is a side character, but he serves a very important purpose! We are looking for someone who can bring strong comedic timing, and is willing to play around with a unique look!

WALLY – 50s – MALE
Grey or white hair, any height, bearded, with glasses. Wears a puffer jacket and scarf.

Wally is a kind old man, hardened by years of having to find “unconventional” ways to make money for his family.

Looking for an older actor who wants to bring some experience to the table! Should be comfortable smoking (prop cigarettes)

ACE – 30s-40s – MALE
Tall, stockier build. Appears as a tough guy. Being bald is a plus, but not necessary.
Ace is a gruff, jaded man, but with a hidden soft spot. He’s a drug dealer who just wants to do his job and go home.
Should be someone who can be intimidating! Should be comfortable smoking (prop cigarettes)

RUSS – 40s-50s – MALE
Tall, bald, bearded man who wears various superhero merchandise.
Russ owns a comic shop that Stephen and James work at. He’s a kind, sarcastic boss.
Should be willing to appear in the background of all shots within the comic shop set, and be comfortable lifting some boxes (will be lightened).

Below are the EXTRA roles. These are smaller roles, but still credited and just as important! Extras DO NOT need to submit a self-tape, but are free to submit any reels or other media if desired.

SANTI – EXTRA – 20s-30s – MALE
Latinx, medium build
Santi is kidnapped and beat up (this role has the potential to be reprised later, but is a very small role in this short)
Must be latinx, and comfortable with makeup/fake blood. Must be confident raising voice and screaming. Because of the nature of the scene, we will discuss larger plans for the character in the future upon casting!

BIKER GANG MEMBER – EXTRA – Various ages – MALE
Various bikers (bearded, tattooed)
Group of bikers to be extras.
Should have their own bikes and outfits they could provide. Bikes will just be seen outside, not ridden, and clothes will not be damaged or messed up in any way. Should be comfortable holding prop weapons.

WHITEY – EXTRA – 50s – MALE
White-bearded biker, large build.
Biker gang leader, scary and intimidating.
Should have white beard, and be willing to hold prop weapons.

NOTICES TO EVERYONE AUDITIONING:
All roles MUST be comfortable with their likenesses possibly being used in printed media (comic books, posters, various types of artwork.)
This is a non-union, unpaid short film. Food will be provided every day on set, and all arrangements will be made to have no less than 12-hour turnarounds between each shoot day. Gas reimbursements can be delivered in certain instances, please contact a producer to discuss this (once casted).
Every role has the potential for paid work in the future, should the short film be able to be used to raise money for the next projects.
The purpose of this short film is to serve as proof-of-concept for a potential franchise, and as such will be filmed accordingly, and kept under wraps until it is time to reveal details! Each cast/crew member will be required to sign an NDA.

Attach any acting reels, social media (Instagram preferred), and any other relevant items such as additional headshots. Please DO NOT send full short films/features. Send a 1-2 minute acting reel with highlights from your performances. We will not be able to review full films.
