| Job Description: | CASTING CALL — CINEMATIC MYSTERY/HORROR MUSIC VIDEO
Shoot Date: Sunday, August 9, 2026 We are casting featured performers and background extras for an ambitious mystery/horror music video being produced in the Philadelphia area. This is not a traditional performance-style music video. The project is being approached more like a cinematic short film, inspired by the atmosphere, storytelling, choreography, memorable characters, and event-style filmmaking of classic music videos such as Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” The production will feature a large nighttime party sequence, stylized horror imagery, masks, practical character elements, and a narrative incorporating symbolic representations of the Seven Deadly Sins. We are working with a limited independent-production budget, but our goal is to create something visually ambitious that showcases the level of cinematic music-video production possible within the Philadelphia film community. We are looking for performers who are excited to collaborate on a unique project, gain footage and experience, network with local filmmakers and creatives, and be part of a memorable large-scale production. We also currently have a special surprise cameo guest scheduled to participate in the production! ALL PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE: • A complimentary meal provided by production during the shoot Please note: The cameo guest is currently scheduled to appear; however, appearances are subject to final availability and production circumstances. PAID FEATURED EXTRA ROLES — $100 FLAT RATE We are casting 10 featured performers representing characters inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins. All performers must be 18 or older. LUST — 2 WOMEN Seeking two women comfortable appearing on camera in blue lingerie or similarly styled party attire while wearing bunny masks inspired by a Playboy-bunny aesthetic. Suggested costume color: Blue ENVY — 1 MAN Seeking a slim Black male performer with dreadlocks. Preferred height: Approximately 5’8″–6’4″ This character will appear without a mask and may be asked to wear colored contact lenses if comfortable and appropriate for the performer. PRIDE — 1 WOMAN Seeking a Caucasian/white woman to portray a glamorous, attention-grabbing social-media-influencer type. Wardrobe suggestion: Short purple party dress, preferably low-cut or glamorous if comfortable. Character will wear a peacock mask. Mask will be provided. WRATH — 1 MAN Open ethnicity. Seeking a performer who can portray a nerdy/punk or edgy, socially awkward character with an intense presence. Character will wear a rat mask. Mask will be provided. WRATH — 1 WOMAN Seeking a woman with a strong, commanding, tough presence reminiscent of the confidence and energy associated with female artists such as Megan Thee Stallion or Remy Ma. Wardrobe suggestion: Long red dress. Character will wear a lion mask. Mask will be provided. SLOTH — 4 PERFORMERS Any gender. Any race. Seeking four performers who will each portray a different exaggerated state of intoxication/high as part of the symbolic depiction of Sloth: • Marijuana/high These are ACTED portrayals only. No actual drug use is involved. Each performer will wear a bear mask. Suggested costume color: Teal, but teal clothing is NOT required. Masks and necessary props will be provided. BACKGROUND EXTRAS — 10–15+ NEEDED We are also seeking volunteer background performers, ages 18–50, of all genders, races, ethnicities, body types, and looks to portray attendees at a mysterious nighttime party. This is an UNPAID background opportunity. All background participants will receive a complimentary meal and the opportunity for a photo with our scheduled surprise cameo guest. WARDROBE: Dress as though you are attending a stylish, edgy nighttime party. Dark, unique, alternative, fashionable, eccentric, or visually interesting looks are encouraged. If you are interested in participating even if you are not selected for one of the paid featured roles, you are welcome to join us as a volunteer background extra. Because the production has a limited number of paid featured positions, submitting does not guarantee a paid role. Applicants selected for a $100 featured role will be contacted directly and specifically confirmed by production as PAID FEATURED CAST.
