Looking for an actress to play Serena, an early to mid-20s black woman, who is a little cynical but hopeful, she uses humor to mask her insecurities, but above all she is honest. She wants to prove to the world that she is worthy of love and being loved by someone who is physically attractive, thereby validating her own attractiveness. Her childhood friend, Sam, and her potential love relationship have a conversation on the way to a friend’s wedding. She doesn’t want to have to confront family members at a wedding because she will get the inevitable question of when it is her turn to get married.
