| Job Description: | I have two assignments for this semester: 1) Recreate an action scene (I’m choosing two – the Richard Norton vs. Sammo Hung fight from 1985’s “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Stars”, and the Tom Cruise briefcase shootout from “Collateral”) “Twinkle, Twinkle, Lucky Stars” “Collateral”: If you’d like to be cast in the above roles, please let me know which one in the title of your e-mail and what dates you have available for July! We are likely shooting the weekend of July 18th & 19th but can also do Monday afternoons after 3:00 PM, Wednesdays after 12:00 noon, and anytime on Fridays. 2) Design an original action sequence. This will be a hybrid of stylized tactical and stylized hand to hand martial arts set in the 80’s, facing a trio of drunk dudes coming out of a bar. Role: Protagonist will be a punk woman of Black, Indigenous, Filipino, or Asian descent. Will also be filming a short 80’s VHS Dating vignette to set up the story. If you’d like to be cast in the above roles, please let me know which one in the title of your e-mail and what dates you have available for July and early August! We are likely shooting the weekend of August 1st/2nd but can also do Monday afternoons after 3:00 PM, Wednesdays after 12:00 noon, and anytime on Fridays. This is a project for college, so the pay will be minimal ($20 for henchman, $40 for leads) per day. A copy of the footage will also be provided. Ideally I’d also like to form a stunt people action group here in Philadelphia. I own a Nikon ZR and will have access to other cameras later in my studies and would like to assist people in creating their own stunt reels, do shot-for-shot recreations of iconic fight scenes, and create our own unique action sequences. If that’s something you’re interested in, please reach out as well! Some influences of mine action-wise: Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you! |
