Description

Synopsis-
A closed up worn down school that in life cultivated teenage trauma, in death has become a safe haven, a fantasy, a new life for Teague and Kit. Looking to escape the worlds they are trapped in, Kit, a troubled twenty something year old, living at home, with a penchant for collecting obituaries, and Teague, a senior morbidity analyst recently terminated by their own father, meet at the school to forget their troubles and live life on their own terms. However their friendship is tested when the real world comes knocking, as Teague’s father becomes ill and Kit uncovers a family secret with generational spanning repercussions. They must decide whether to be together in their homemade Utopia or burn it all down and dace life head on.

This is a script I’ve been working on for a few years. I am in the midst of putting together the principal cast to begin table reads and then we will move on to screen testing. I want to find someone to work through the script and help develop the character to best suit them and the story. I am looking for someone that is non-binary or that can blur the lines of a traditional gender role. With that said we are looking for someone local to Philadelphia that can easily meet up for table reads, regular rehearsals, and test shooting.

We are also in the planning stages of a campaign to raise funds and find the right investors along with putting together a production team and to fill out the rest of the crew. The goal is to compensate everyone involved in this project. This will NOT be a volunteer project for anyone that is on cast or crew. Our aim for compensation is to be union and SAG rates.

We do not have a date that principal shooting will begin. That will be determined by when we have the proper funds in place.

Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.
