Casting Call for “Bite Me” (Student Thesis Short Film)
Logline: At her 19th birthday party, Nora battles existential dread. Over the course of the celebration, her varied party guests teach her the beauty of life despite its fleeting nature.
Roles:
Aunt Julie, 40s, kind and naive, Julie is Nora’s, our main character’s, aunt. She was given custody of Nora a couple of years ago after her parents passed away in a car accident. Julie always tries to distract Nora from the pain she feels by being overly positive.
Joel, 18, rebellious and charming, Joel is family friends with Nora. They have known each other since they were babies, but never really got along because they are so different. However, Nora has a secret crush on him.
Shoot Details: We will be shooting 4 to 5 days in early April. Meals will be provided on set.
Audition Details: Auditions will be held on zoom on Saturday the 25th of January from 1pm – 5pm.
