Logline: On Christmas Eve, a grief-stricken Travis Upshaw awakens in a vibrant home filled with the spirits of his deceased family, where reconnection with the past forces him to find the strength to face his future.

CHARACTERS:

1. TRAVIS UPSHAW – Male, Early 30s, Black/African American
Travis has grown emotionally quiet after years of loss. Once warm and present, he now lives guarded and withdrawn, carrying grief and guilt. Raised in a close-knit Philadelphia family, he has lost the traditions that once grounded him. Travis’s journey is about feeling again, reconnecting with others, and choosing to move forward rather than remain frozen in the past.

2. KB UPSHAW – Male, 20s (27), Black/African American
Travis’s street-smart, ambitious, and charming cousin. Quick-witted and deeply rooted in Philadelphia, KB mixes edge with warmth. Fun and playful in the right moments, serious and reflective when it counts, he serves as a truth-teller for Travis, giving him the hard truths he needs to hear.

3. UNCLE JOHN UPSHAW – Male, 50s, Black/African American
The cool uncle. Calm, confident, and grounded, Uncle John has a story for every occasion and can hold a conversation with anyone. A natural leader shaped by responsibility and care, he is a mentor figure to Travis and his cousins, offering guidance with warmth, humor, and quiet authority.

4.AUNT DIAHANN WARREN – Female, Late 40s–Early 50s, Black/African American
The fun aunt. Sharp, warm, and unapologetically herself, Aunt Diahann goes out of her way to make others smile and laugh — teasing because she loves you. She carries her history with old-school confidence and class, a steady, comforting presence who commands respect without demanding it.
