| Job Description: | Looking for cast and crew for my short film that I am producing, directing, writing, and starring in called “Victim”, a psychological thriller film about a young woman losing her grip on reality as she suffers at the hands of her abusive older sister. The film will explore themes of mental health, the stigma around it, abusive family dynamics, trauma, the impact of a toxic environment, and PTSD. I am hoping to submit this to my university’s film festival as well as Sundance and for it to get picked up by a film studio to get made into a full-length film feature. Here are cast and crew roles that I am currently considering: Actors The two main roles are already filled out so this is just the supporting cast Zach- a close friend of the main character who tries to be there for her despite her tendency to have her walls up; Male, Any Race/Ethnicity, 18-23; Must be available for one day of filming in October Professor Cartman- the main character’s professor who unsympathetic to her mental health struggle; Male, Any Ethnicity/Race, preferably in his 30s, 40s, or 50s; Must be available for one day of filming in October Michael- the main character’s toxic ex boyfriend who is determined to have her back under his thumb; Male Any Ethnicity/Race, 18-23; Must be available for one day of filming in October Lizzie- a close friend of the main character whose warmth is a bright sunlight in the darkness of the main character’s life; Female, Any Ethnicity/Race, 18-23; Must be available for one day of filming in October Crew I would preferably like to work with college students or people fresh out of college Director of Photography/Cinematographer- works with the director to develop the visual aesthetic for the film; in charge of the camera work; portfolio is preferred but not required; must have an interest/education background in TV/Film; must be available for three to four days of work in October Assistant Director- assists the director in filming; will be in the director’s chair during filming due to the actual director, me, acting in the scenes; previous experience is preferred but not required; must have an interest/education background in TV/Film; must be available for three to four days of work in October Script Supervisor- preserves the continuity of scenes and of the story; must have an interest/education background in TV/Film; must be available for three to four days of work in October AC- assists the camera operator on set; previous experience is preferred but not required; must have an interest/education background in TV/Film; must be available for three to four days of work in October Gaffer- in charge of the lighting setup; previous experience is preferred but not required; must have an interest/education background in TV/Film; must be available for three to four days of work in October Best Boy- chief assistant to the gaffer; previous experience is preferred but not required; must have an interest/education background in TV/Film; must be available for three to four days of work in October Grips- works under the gaffer to assist in rigging lighting equipment; previous experience is preferred but not required; must have an interest/education background in TV/Film; must be available for three to four days of work in October Boom Operator- records audio for the film; previous experience is preferred but not required; must have an interest/education background in TV/Film; must be available for three to four days of work in October Editor- an editor willing to work with the director on their vision for the final product; is able to work on the sound and music as well: must be well versed in editing software; must have an interest/education background in TV/Film; must be available in November for post-production Filming will take place at Desales University and around the Lehigh Valley area. Final filming locations will be confirmed at a later date. Make sure to live nearby or at least be able to make the commute.
