| Job Description: | The Sierra’s Bones Documentary team is searching for a Vietnam, Korean or WWII combat veteran to interview and spend some time with. This documentary has been shooting for a little over a year and focuses on death, dying, and the role that it plays in people’s lives. Currently, we have two people in the documentary. Sierra is 24 and is a veterinary technician who seeks to specialize in hospice care for sick and dying animals. Additionally, she collects animal bones from roadkill and carcasses and various dead bugs from the side of the road and in the woods. Sierra also has two senior dogs who she is very fond of. She is an extremely spiritual person who surrounds herself with death and finds beauty in it. Our other person is Marc, a middle-aged man who currently has terminal cancer. We have stuck with Marc for the past year and have captured some of his struggles and interview him to truly understand what he’s going through in his own words. We have also sat down with his family to gain some more perspective.
Our team is looking for someone who has seen death from the third person perspective, up close and personal. Whether you believe the death you have witnessed is justified or not, we want to talk about it and hear what you have to say. We require honesty and vulnerability in your interviews and other segments. This includes sharing personal thoughts, feelings, writings, stories. Let us tell your story and do it justice. How has this changed you and how have the things you’ve been through affect the way you live your daily life? How has seeing death and understanding it made you want to live better? Finally, we are hoping to find someone who may be open to going through a new experience. Something that says, “I’m old, but who cares?” If you have a dream you’d still like to accomplish such as skydiving, bungee jumping, getting married, going back to where you fought, etc. We will pay for it and help you accomplish that. At the end of the day, the question is, “What am I going to do with the time I have left in this world?” This is something that every human and every living being can answer. For some people, it’s a simple life of gardening and birdwatching and family time. For others it’s crazy stunts and traveling the world and spending all their money. And some people never ask the question until prompted by illness or tragedy. And others never ask it at all. Have you been living to your full potential? Thank you for your time.
