ABOUT THE PROJECT
Inspired by local folklore and A Midsummer Night’s Dream and textured with practical, theatrical visuals, Pineys is a horror-adventure about returning to a home that may no longer exist. Avery, a Shakespearean actor and trans man, returns to his rural hometown to reconnect with his former best friend, June. When an encounter with the Jersey Devil plunges them both into a theatrical otherworld, Avery and June must overcome old resentments and an older legend to find out what might have been if their lives had turned out differently.
