| Job Description: | Seeking an experienced narrative film editor to work alongside me (the director), on the first scene of my student short film entitled “Unexpected Love”. The scene will be two to three minutes in length when complete, and will be taken from exactly one hour of footage.
The assistant editor will work with the director’s rough cut, and polish it into a final cut, suitable for film festival submissions. Editor must be experienced with and edit in Adobe Premiere Pro. Editor can be based remotely or locally, but must be able to meet with director online for occasional meetings, and be able to complete the entire edit by January 31, 2026. This scene of the film does contain a chase/fight scene, and the assistant editor must have experience editing those kind of scenes. Rate: $100 – $150 depending on experience and quality of work done. (with a potential for future work opportunities) Once the film is complete, IMDB Credit (“Assistant Editor”) will be given as well. Applicants that are more experienced in fight scene editing and/or sound design will be especially considered.
