| Job Description: | We are seeking athletic adults, ages 18-50 who can look the part for playing Jiu Jitsu (no experience is needed, you don’t have to actually roll – unless you are able to and want to). This is an unpaid and volunteer production. Actors will receive craft services, footage, and film credit.
Ashes to Diamonds is an independent faith-based feature film about a man grappling with life, relationships, art, and spirituality. In an effort to put the pieces together from an abusive relationship, he finds healing in therapy, Jiu Jitsu, and returning to his passion for writing. Lines become blurred between the various microcosms of his life, and he learns that in the end, these earthly endeavors aren’t enough to fill his soul. He will have to find something else; something he has ignored from the past but hasn’t forgotten him. The one thing that fills the God-shaped hold in his life, is coming back to his faith.
