Job Description: Seeking four actors for a short film—a comedy/parody styled as a reality show set in 1835 England.

Characters:
Finn Hurst

18 -25, Duke of Dougherty, entitled and clueless.
Finn is a peacock in powdered wigs. Charming in theory, but absolutely lacking depth. His primary talents include fencing (maybe), twirling his hair, and being unaware of how utterly ridiculous he sounds. Despite being illiterate, he believes he is the most eligible bachelor in England. He’s here for “true love” — whatever that means to a man who equates worth with looks and heirs.

Charlotte Earnshaw

18-35, sharp-tongued and chronically unimpressed.
Charlotte is the embodiment of dry wit and forced participation. Pressured into appearing on the show by her “half-witted” family, she’d rather be left alone with her embroidery than deal with the likes of Finn Hurst. Her sarcasm is armor, and her intelligence far surpasses the room she’s in. Romance? Please.

Alice Duchamp

18-25, ambitious and desperate for status.
Alice has dreamed of nobility since girlhood, and this show is her golden ticket. Poised and presentable on camera, she’s falling apart behind the scenes. Her desire for a titled life is slowly unraveling in the face of Finn’s ridiculousness, but she clings to optimism (and self-delusion). She’s practical, poised, and slowly panicking.

Willa Vervivian

18-25s, intellectual, weary, and brutally honest.
Willa is the reluctant participant who reads Pride and Prejudice for actual pleasure. She’s smart, insightful, and painfully aware that she’s been sent here as her family’s last hope. Her patience is thin, her sarcasm subtle, and her dignity barely intact. Romance is not the goal—financial survival is.
