Casting “Pony,” an MFA thesis short film set in 1999 which tells the story of a genderqueer pre-teen, Zoe, defying a grieving mother and an uncomprehending best friend to embody their true gender and sexual identities in the wake of a devastating family tragedy.
Casting the role of TONY/PONY (supporting role, Assigned Male at Birth (AMAB), Ages 9-12)
Tony/Pony is Zoe’s deceased twin, who appears as a specter to Zoe in the film. Tony/Pony was aggressively transfeminine, but not at all accepted by family and community. Tony/Pony still literally and figuratively haunts Zoe. They were very close.
Ethnicity: White / European Descent
