Job Description: | Project Overview: The Rock School for Dance seeks a talented and creative freelance video content creator to direct and edit a captivating short (4 to 6 min.) documentary-style video for a special event presentation mid-May. We are looking for a videographer and editor who can work from a provided script to craft a high-quality short that combines narrative and informational styles to convey the impact and mission of one of our educational programs. Responsibilities: Direct and shoot high-quality footage, capturing interviews, candid moments, and action shots of the subject’s day-to-day life. Edit and produce a polished final video with compelling visuals, sound design, and engaging storytelling. Incorporate existing footage of classes and performances where necessary. Mix and edit selected musical elements seamlessly into the finished product. Ensure the final product is optimized for various platforms, including event presentation and web distribution. Collaborate with development and marketing teams as well as educational staff to align creative direction and plan shoot dates (Likely one day of shooting). Deliver the final video within agreed-upon timelines. Qualifications: Already in possession or willing to obtain child abuse clearances. Proven experience in video production, directing, and editing. Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.). Strong storytelling skills and an eye for visual aesthetics. Ability to work independently while incorporating feedback and meeting deadlines. Experience with narrative documentary-style videos or working with nonprofit organizations is a plus. How to Apply: |
