We’re making a short horror film in Pottstown, PA June 21st-23rd. We actually have all the people we need but if there’s any emergencies and someone can’t make it, we’ll run into major problems. The film is about three sweaty dirty men who come across a creek in the woods, one of them has a bloody gun, and another finds a shovel that demonically possesses whoever holds it. Blood will be shed(Special Effects blood that is). This is a non pay film, but food will be provided to the cast and crew. And everyone will play a critical role, even PAs. The plan is to shoot the entire film in one continuous shot, things will be moved, and makeup will be applied in coordination with where the camera is at a given moment. It’ll be challenging, but exciting at the same time. We’ll try to get as many takes in as we can before sundown.
If you’re interested in this project, and you’re right for the role or position, all we’d ask is that you block off that weekend 21st-23rd in case we need you, but if we don’t and you’re super eager to get involved(crew wise) anyway we can probably find a way to get you involved. If you’re interested in crew positions all we’d need is you to block off the 22nd and 23rd(21st is rehearsal for actors), 1pm to sunset is when we plan to shoot.
Crew positions include:
-Makeup artist to make the lead look more and more like he’s in withdrawal as the film progresses (please provide link to your work)
-PA’s to move things around off screen quietly, or apply blood.
-Boom operator
