Join JUNE FORTUNATO for a lively TWO-SESSION workshop on OCTOBER 19TH & 26TH focused on developing your idea for a narrative scripted television series. In-class collaborative workshops will give you the interlocked story structure and character web development tools necessary for you to expand your idea into an exciting series that could run on network or cable, or be streamed. Some of the topics to be covered: what makes a good series premise; 7 essential story elements each storyline must hit; characters and their moral challenges; constructing a story world; and the art of cutting back and forth between storylines. Don’t miss this opportunity to finally bring your idea to life for the small screen!
June Fortunato is a producer, director and writer of her own works. With over 35 years of production experience, she currently teaches, “Writing for TV” for Arcadia University. The 15-week class is a hands-on, writer’s ‘Bootcamp,’ in which attendees write for every format of broadcast and cable television. June works with individual writers as a story consultant to help them find and shape the stories they want to tell — to date, she’s coached approximately 65 writers. Her film “Adele’s Way” broadcast on PBS, and the radio dramas she produced and directed, aired internationally and regionally.
