Event Details

In solidarity with the #metoo and #timesup wave, PWIFT continues to be a fierce advocate for justice and equity for all women in film and media in Philadelphia. Join us to celebrate our inaugural PWIFT Elevation Award honoring Sharon Pinkenson, of the Greater Philadelphia Film Office for her tireless work in helping to lift up so many in our community.

Kickoff of Women’s History Month

Walk the red carpet through the Fleisher’s annual exhibit of emerging artists. Enter this historic sanctuary for a fun-filled evening of entertainment and a celebration of diversity. Enjoy cocktails, a buffet dinner, and a silent auction.

Become a champion for the next generation of female filmmakers.

Dress: Red-carpet flair encouraged.

Fewer than 11 percent of all films are being directed by women. The proceeds from the 2018 PWIFT Gala will go to the new Palmer Enfield Directors Grant to help aspiring women directors launch their career, and to other PWIFT educational programs.

PWIFT is a 501(c)3 organization. Donations are tax-deductible.

We are a member of the Association of Film Commissions International (AFCI). GPFO, first established in 1985 as a part of Philadelphia city government, continues to reside within city offices.

In 1992, we became a regional economic development agency, incorporating in 2000 as the Greater Philadelphia Film Office, a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation.
