What will you learn at the Philly Agents & Talent Forum?

  • Learn what agents look for and how an agent/manager chooses/finds actors

  • What a headshot for your type(s) should be

  • How to create a resume effectively

  • How to self-record for specific auditions

  • Proper protocol for talent when working with agents/managers

  • The role of the agent or manager in the industry

  • How does an agent/manager find opportunities for actors

  • How an agent/manager negotiates a contract/rate

  • Typical percentages paid to an agent/manager

  • Breaking a relationship with an agent/manager

  • Can an actor have an agent as well as a manager (and why an actor could need both!)

Why should you attend?

  • Work-shop pieces under Agent’s direction! You will have an opportunity to read, work with directives, and receive written feedback from Philadelphia’s Top Agents & Managers. Talent may choose two of the following to perform: 1-minute contemporary monologue and/or commercial and/or corporate copy (commercial and corporate copy can be provided by KWC).

  • The seminar portion is a rare opportunity to learn valuable audition information as well as get answers to many of your questions.

Enrollment is kept to a minimum so you receive valuable tutorial as well as one on one time.

Are you aware that casting directors procure talent primarily through agents and managers?

This is a rare opportunity for Agents/Managers to spend time with you.

The Greater Philadelphia Film Office (GPFO) is a "film commission" representing southeastern Pennsylvania that officially serves the counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia.

We are a member of the Association of Film Commissions International (AFCI). GPFO, first established in 1985 as a part of Philadelphia city government, continues to reside within city offices.

In 1992, we became a regional economic development agency, incorporating in 2000 as the Greater Philadelphia Film Office, a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation.
