Event Details

The Philadelphia Independent Film Awards enters its second year of celebrating the independent filmmaker. Join us as we honor some of independent filmmakings best and brightest. We wanted to reward and acknowledge the hard work by independent filmmakers that often times gets overlooked, so we hope you’ll come out and help us do that. It’s going to be a phenomenal evening filled with comedy by returning host Turae Gordon and co host Alice Wills. You’ll get to hear the smooth sounds of The John Martin Project as well as sip on various wines and spirits while munching on hors d’oeuvres provided by Kim Marshall catering.. We will also be giving out our rendition of the “swag” bag to our guests. We’ll also be announcing the recipient of the Leonard Heard Community Service Award, so as you can see it’s going to be a full evening and we hope to see you there. This is a formal event so please come dressed to impress!

The Greater Philadelphia Film Office (GPFO) is a "film commission" representing southeastern Pennsylvania that officially serves the counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia.

We are a member of the Association of Film Commissions International (AFCI). GPFO, first established in 1985 as a part of Philadelphia city government, continues to reside within city offices.

In 1992, we became a regional economic development agency, incorporating in 2000 as the Greater Philadelphia Film Office, a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation.
