JT Takagi is a NY based independent filmmaker and a sound recordist on documentaries, with credits on numerous PBS films including Stanley Nelson’s BLACK PANTHERS:VANGUARD OF THE REVOLUTION, and the Oscar-nominated and 2018 Emmy winning STRONG ISLAND. She is also the Executive Director of Third World Newsreel, a sister org of Scribe, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Join JT Takagi for a workshop on approaches to audio recording and sound equipment for documentary media production, including working with double system DSLR cameras and new gear options with low cost mixer/recorders and radio mics. Workshop participants are invited to discuss planned projects. $25, $15 Scribe members

The Greater Philadelphia Film Office (GPFO) is a "film commission" representing southeastern Pennsylvania that officially serves the counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia.

We are a member of the Association of Film Commissions International (AFCI). GPFO, first established in 1985 as a part of Philadelphia city government, continues to reside within city offices.

In 1992, we became a regional economic development agency, incorporating in 2000 as the Greater Philadelphia Film Office, a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation.
