Join Kate Amend and Johanna Demetrakas for this extended workshop on directing and editing documentaries. They look at how non-fiction stories take shape in planning, on location and in post-production. Using examples from their respective bodies of work (which includes Academy Award, IDA, and Cine Golden Eagle winning docs and numerous Emmy nominations), Amend and Demetrakas explore the collaboration and the creative process involved in making dramatic documentaries, from the perspectives of both the director and the editor.
