The 23rd annual FirstGlance Film Festival, Philadelphia’s Independent Film Festival since 1996, opens at the iconic Colonial Theatre, 227 Bridge Street, Phoenixville, PA, on November 13, 2020, with the horror, thriller, Bad Candy, co-directed by Scott B. Hansen and Desiree Connell. The festival runs in-person through November 15th and it will also be held virtually, November 10 to November 15, 2020, on the digital platform

FirstGlance features premiere, original independent films from Philadelphia and around the world, filmmaker interviews on the red carpet, and a live awards ceremony on closing night presented by award-winning director/filmmaker and FirstGlance alum Raphael Sbarge from the TV series Once Upon a Time. FirstGlance will also host the filmmaking livestream panels: Women of Indie Horror, FirstGlance Alum Talk Indie Distribution, and Filmmaking in Philadelphia with their festival partner,

The Greater Philadelphia Film Office (GPFO) is a "film commission" representing southeastern Pennsylvania that officially serves the counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia.

We are a member of the Association of Film Commissions International (AFCI). GPFO, first established in 1985 as a part of Philadelphia city government, continues to reside within city offices.

In 1992, we became a regional economic development agency, incorporating in 2000 as the Greater Philadelphia Film Office, a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation.
