Event Details

Please join us to celebrate new works from the 2019 Documentary History Project for Youth. Produced collaboratively, the teens examined the acts of “Youth Activism” with an eye on the historic relationship between young people and activism in Philadelphia. Our young filmmakers have applied their talents to explore and document the acts of “Youth Activism” cultures they came to know through their involvement with the DHPY theme but perhaps never really delved into before. The filmmakers include: Qaadir Barnes, Marvin Cooper, Noah Eggerts, Kyla Gladney-Enos, Taylor Johnson, Rasheed Lawrence Malcom Margasak, Geronimo McPherson, Tymir Oveida, Takeyo Rockmore, Mazir Thomason, and Jennifer Wilson.

(Sunday) 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Greater Philadelphia Film Office (GPFO) is a "film commission" representing southeastern Pennsylvania that officially serves the counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia.

We are a member of the Association of Film Commissions International (AFCI). GPFO, first established in 1985 as a part of Philadelphia city government, continues to reside within city offices.

In 1992, we became a regional economic development agency, incorporating in 2000 as the Greater Philadelphia Film Office, a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation.
