Event Details

In celebration of Record Store Day Black Friday, Vinyl Revival is hosting FREE screenings of the documentary film Beside Bowie The Mick Ronson Story on Black Friday, November 24th at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and Small Business Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

From Emporer Media Ltd. and acclaimed producer/director Jon Brewer, with exclusive voice over contributions from David Bowie, this feature documentary is an unprecedented celebration of the life and works of guitar virtuoso Mick Ronson – a rock hero virtually uncelebrated despite his direct contribution and involvement in countless compositions, lyrics and recordings that changed the face of music forever.

Despite his contributions and work with MorrisseyLou Reed on “Transformer”; Ian Hunter and Mott the HoopleBob Dylan; and most notably David Bowie and the Spiders from Mars, it was really Mick Ronson’s dynamic support, contribution, and co-creation of this era in music as well as to the expansive and multifaceted career of David Bowie that this film explores, and at times, exposes.

Featuring exclusive access to archives never seen before plus bonus interview footage with Angie BowieRick WakemanGlen MatlockCherry Vanilla, Ian Hunter and more!

Screenings are FREE!  The Vault Theater has limited seating (35 seats) so admission is first come, first served.  Screenings are BYOB and snacks.
