Gaffer

We are seeking an experienced Gaffer to join our indie production team. The Gaffer will be responsible for the overall lighting design and execution of our project. This is a deferred pay position, meaning that payment will be made upon the film’s completion and distribution.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute lighting plans for various scenes and locations
Supervise and coordinate the work of the electrical department
Ensure safety standards are met on set
Problem-solve and adapt to changing conditions
Collaborate with the director of photography and other members of the production team
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Gaffer in indie film productions
Strong knowledge of lighting equipment and techniques
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
A passion for storytelling and a commitment to the craft of filmmaking
