Overview:
Lil Filmmakers is a West Philadelphia multimedia hub for young professionals with the talent and drive to have a career in the entertainment industry. Our mission is to train young underserved artists to use media and the arts as a tool to overcome societal and personal barriers and prepare them for career opportunities in the arts and media industry. This is a part-time position under the Working for Success program, an part time internship that employs Philadelphia residents between the ages of 20-24. This program will run from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.

The Producer/Project Manager will be responsible for a variety of detailed project management and administrative activities and involved in overseeing multiple projects and programs under the direction of both the Executive Director and the Director of Media Culture. This person will also be responsible for the timely completion of project tasks and an overview of all overlapping projects so as to understand the impact of one project’s resource utilization on our organization’s ability to finish other projects.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Hire and manage production staff,
Coordinate activities of writers, directors, managers, and talent marketers,
Manage schedules for production,
Manage schedule and payroll for staff,
Oversee the production process from conception to final product,
Arbitrate and resolves issue, conflict and interface problems within the project team,
Assure effective project team communication, keeping all informed of progress and issues in order to manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables,
Maintain employee records,
Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Qualifications:
At least two years of experience in project management and/or video production
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be a resident of Philadelphia
Proficiency with Adobe Suite and Google Drive applications
Ability to meet strict deadlines
Knowledge of the media business/industry
Knowledge of the creative economy in the city
Strong leadership and management skills
Good organizational and communication skills
Initiative to work alone and on teams
