"SHOOT IN PHILADELPHIA" A SCREENWRITING COMPETITION

About "Shoot In Philadelphia" Screenwriting
Competition & "SIP for TV- Prime Time"

SIP, sponsored by the Greater Philadelphia Film Office, is open to all screenwriters, world-wide, who submit a feature length screenplay OR an original TV pilot length screenplay to be shot in the Greater Philadelphia Metropolitan Area. All genres will be accepted. Scripts will be judged on their overall quality, and the extent to which they project "shootability" in the Greater Philadelphia region.  

Greater Philadelphia Filmmakers is delighted to announce the 2010 “SIP” Finalists!  Good luck to everyone. Winners will be announced at a press conference on Sunday, November 14th. Details to follow!

Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce Regional Award
for best screenplay written by a Greater Philadelphia Resident, to encourage local feature production
$2,500 CASH PRIZE

Parisi Award*
for Best Screenwriter (Feature or Prime Time) 25 years old or under:
$1,000 CASH PRIZE

*This award is made possible by the generous contribution of screenwriter Stephen J. Rivele (co-author of Academy Award nominated screenplay NIXON, ALI, COPYING BEETHOVEN in honor of his mother, Irene I. Parisi (1925-1964).
